Run the conversion tool from requirement 4 to convert the.sav files to.json open the oldlevel.sav.json file created (it will probably be very large, but notepad++ worked for me) and search for the first 8 chars from step 5 if it doesn't find those characters, try again with an even older backup (if you don't have one, you're probably sol) Gotta change it from level.sav, these character file only seems to have your uid

I have an r4i gold, and it uses.sav files to store the save games The save file i got is a.dsv file for use with the desmume emulator
